ABOUT ME
Hello!
My interest in therapy began after college when I was left feeling stuck and unable to answer the question, “what’s next?” My life was pretty much planned out up to that point and now I was unsure of the next step. This time in my life is when I started therapy. I wanted the type of therapy that encouraged me to grow, and in growing I needed to take a look at the hard stuff and take action to change. It was in these sessions with my therapist that my love of psychology and learning about the complicated human experience grew.
I launched my career working for a large agency, where I gained extensive experience treating trauma, depressive/anxious mood disorders, and working to improve family relationships. In 2012, I relocated to the beautiful First Coast, working for a nationally recognized, award-winning non-profit agency. There, I held a variety of integral roles, including residential therapist, school-based therapist, and outpatient behavioral health therapist. These varied experiences have provided me with the necessary expertise to work effectively with clients across all ages, dealing with a broad spectrum of concerns, and from a diverse set of backgrounds and family structures.
This agency background gave me the foundation and knowledge required to establish a private practice that reflects my core strengths: deepening the therapeutic work and maintaining a primary focus on healing and forward movement. As I continued to develop as a therapist, I became increasingly interested in narcissistic behaviors. I am currently working toward becoming a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Clinician (NATC), and I integrate specialized, evidence-based techniques such as EMDR into my practice.
I acknowledge that contacting a therapist takes courage as does participating in therapy. Reaching out and meeting to see if you think we are a good match is wonderful forward movement. I do not take your reaching out lightly. I genuinely look forward to working with you.
