ABOUT ME
Hello!
My interest in therapy started after graduating from college and then getting stuck in being unable to answer the question “what’s next?”. My life was pretty much planned out up to that point and now I was unsure of the next step. This time in my life is when I started therapy. I wanted the type of therapy that encouraged me to grow, and in growing I needed to take a look at the hard stuff and take action to change. It was in these sessions with my therapist that my love of psychology and learning about the complicated human experience grew.
Working for an agency was the beginning of my career. At this agency my work focused on treating trauma, depressive/anxious mood disorders and helping to improve family relationships. In 2012, I relocated to the beautiful First Coast where I worked for a nationally recognized, award-winning non-profit agency. In this setting, I had a variety of positions: residential therapist, school-based therapist and outpatient behavioral health therapist. These experiences have given me the expertise to work with people of various ages, struggling with a range of concerns, and from a diverse set of backgrounds, socioeconomic settings, and family structures.
My time at these agencies gave me the foundation of experience and knowledge to start a private practice that reflected my strengths; deepening the therapy work and shifting focus to healing and movement. As I continued to develop as a therapist I became increasingly interested in narcissistic behaviors. I am currently working on becoming a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Clinician (NATC). I also implement techniques in my therapy such as EMDR.
